The break-even price is the delivered electricity price, at the meter including chargers, at which the electric fleet costs the same per truck-hour as diesel.
- Fortescue design: A$408/MWh central, A$351/MWh with conservative battery life, with the fuel tax credit.
- Without the fuel tax credit: A$549/MWh and A$492/MWh.
Diesel costs A$839 per truck-hour with the credit: the truck, running costs, maintenance and 165 litres at A$1.96.
