The off-road fuel tax credit of 53.7 c/L returns most of the fuel excise on diesel used off public roads. For one truck it is worth A$532k a year, and it lowers the delivered diesel price from A$2.50/L to A$1.96/L.
The A$2.50/L is the Perth terminal gate price on 25 September 2026, excluding GST, plus 10–20 c/L for delivery to the Pilbara.
