Without Iron Bridge's 110 MW, delivered cost rises to A$330/MWh and the IRR to 8.5%.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s magnetite operation, a flat load of about 110 MW (ITK estimate from Fortescue’s statement that North Star Junction solar covers about a quarter of its electricity). If that load were not on the grid, the same grid would be spread over fewer MWh and more midday solar would be spilled: spill rises from 19% to 32% and delivered cost from A$286 to A$330/MWh.

The chart varies flat demand from 300 to 650 MW with the grid held at the same size.
