A 240 t haul truck: diesel and battery-electric
165 litres of diesel an hour against 627 kWh of electricity at the meter.

- Diesel: 165 L an hour, the Caterpillar Performance Handbook’s middle load band for the 793F (159 L/h), rounded up.
- Electric: the same work needs about 577 kWh an hour from the pack and 627 kWh at the meter after charging losses, so 3.8 kWh at the meter replaces one litre of diesel. These efficiencies are ITK assumptions, with no credit for regenerative braking.
- Pack and charging: Fortescue has said its trucks carry 2.6 MWh packs and charge at 6 MW in about 30 minutes. ITK treats 80% of the pack as usable, so a charge takes about 23 minutes plus 5 to connect, every 3.6 hours.
Liebherr lists a 3.2 MWh battery for the T 264; whether 2.6 MWh is the usable share of that pack is not yet confirmed.
